So far I've tried 3 45-70 loads with Trail Boss.
1.  Plain base 330gr (Gould) hollow points and 325gr RCBS FPs with 0.030 fiber wads, Javelina Alox lube and 16.5 gr of Trail Boss, WLR in Winchester cases:  accuracy was nothing to write home about.  2 to 3 inches at 50 yds.

2.  413gr RCBS FP gas check , Javelina Alox lube, with 13.0 gr of Trail Boss.  1" @50 yards

All loads were mild with no visible signs of pressure and light recoil.  No leading and a bright shiny bore again after running a dry patch.  I didn't use the chronograph as the air temperatures were below freezing (~+25F).   Bullets were sized to .458

I also tried a load in my 1895 .405 Winchester: 16.5 gr Trail Boss, RCBS 358gr GC FP in Hornady cases and shot 1.5-2" groups at 50yds
