The hornet bullets come in .223 for many of the older rifles and .224 for newer rifles.If I remember correctly,the first hornets were made using 22 rimfire barrels and thats where the .223 comes in.Doubt if you will need to be consurned with that though.The hornet bullets are made with thinner jackets so they will expand at the lower velocities of the hornet.Don't overlook using the nosler ballistic tip and hornady v-maxs as well,as they shoot great and even at hornet speeds go to peices and work great on varmits.
