Anyone have any exsperience or remarks about the glock factory lights? I'm thinking about one they are cheaper then the Insights and sure fires by about 50 bucks.

I have a GLOCK light that I bought to use on my G34.  It is as bright as any of the others (streamlight, surefire).  It is very light, as it is all plastic, but may not be as durable.  Mine has held up very well.  I recently attended the Mid South Institute of Combat Shooting where I put this combo through the paces.  I could not have been happier with the performance of both the light and the pistol.  The only negative comment I have is this:  I cannot find a holster for the G34 with the GLOCK light.  They make them for the G34 with the other brand lights, but not the GLOCK light.  This forces me to use a multi-fit nylon holster of lesser quality.  I guess that's my problem though!

Thanks for the reply, I've been looking at lights to put on my smith mp40, the glock light will fit and the price can't be beat. I can see what you mean about the holster thing though. I don't think i'd be worried about it not being as rugged as the others hence I'm not in law enforcement and it will be mostly for home defense. Thanks for the info.

I have one also, use it on my 23 and 37. Mine is also just as bright as others on the market, also the lazer seems  to be as bright as any also. I have used it on two different calibers can it will easily hit center mass with both guns at 50 feet. You don't get the pinpoint accurace like they show on tv, but it still works well.

They certainly stand behind their products. I had a light with a broken switch I mailed back on a Monday. The following Monday UPS was at the door with a new light. ;D
