My reworked Norinco 1911a1

As you guys remember here a while back i reworked my used norinco.  We talked about it and i put in a new SPG barrel,  IAI national match barrel bushing, IAI rubber grips and a full length guide rod kit with an #18 recoil spring.  We went out and hammered it with over 250rds of wolf ammo.  Plus i shot 3 cloverleafs 3 times with it at 25yds a while back.

UPDATE;  We took it to the range today to let my other younger son who is new at shooting shoot it.  I also let the range master try it too.(4rds)  When we took in the target it had two  3 shot cloverleafs in it.  I haven't reworked the slide and frame yet to tighten it up more. I fitted the barrel with just enough of a fit so it can hinge down when it cycles without springing.
All I can say it was worth playing with it and the extra new parts, this 1911a1 rocks!!!.

BTW;  Its still with using wolf ammo too.

BigBill, are you certain your 'rinco needed a new barrel? I own two 'rincos and they both shot well just as they came out of the box. Yes, they shot better after I had match bushings installed but again, they were not bad before that. I sure would like to see photos of your pistol. Regards, Richard ;D

BigBill - now that's making a service pistol shoot right.  A three shot cloverleaf gives you a carry gun and 'rescue shot' capability at 25 yds.  Way to go.  Mikey.

My Norinco outshoots my Kimber.  The only parts I bought were a match bushing and a match trigger that I fitted.  All other work was done by me.

I wanted to save the orginal barrel as the gun maybe sought after as a collectable someday. Plus we plan on hammering the new barrel anyway.  Orginally it was going to be my shooter/beater 1911 and it still is taken out on every trip to the range.  I wanted a really tight fit on the new NM barrel bushing and the new barrel would be a better fit too.  I know I gave up a quality chrome lined norinco barrel when i swapped it out.  I still have the orginal barrel here too.

Now I'm thinking about tightening up the slide/frame rails just a little to see if it improves the accuracy even more. My slide to frame fit is very loose.  I purchased the swage tools for the frame rails.  I know if its too tight I can lose the reliability too.  This pistol hasn't jammed or stove piped yet.
