I am trying to ID a rifle someone has for sale. I have very little info but it appears to be a milsurp that has been sporterized. The rifle has Springfield on the receiver and the serial number 533XX in machined script not stamped. I have only seen very poor pics and it appears to be some type of 1903. I really am only interested in the receiver but the S/N seems low. The rifle does cock on opening. I know this is not much info to go on but maybe some of you experienced guys can shed some light on this for me.
