Deer hunting 4" 44
« on: May 31, 2007, 07:59:34 AM »
Does anyone have any experience deer hunting with a 4" 44 mag.?  I am considering getting a Taurus ultralite Mod. 444 44 mag.  I currently hunt with a 4" Taurus tracker 357mag. and have had good results.  I am just thinking of going up in the power department.  I like the way the 4" barrels handles.  Any comments good , bad or different is welcome.

For a hunting handgun I personally prefer a 6 In. handgun.   JIM

I have a 4" Anaconda and a 4" 57 that I would hunt with w/o hesitation, however, my 7.5" Bisleys usually get the call. I just like the feel of those big SA guns.
