Free trigger job
« on: April 02, 2007, 10:23:55 AM »
I have seen several comments about getting the free trigger job while your Handi is being rebarreled. I just sent mine in, can I call and ask for a trigger job and what is the trigger like after? Thanks

10 to 1, they put it to factory specs. Which I would not appreciate.

Yes, you can ask for a free trigger job and will get one if yours is heavy or rough, I think either at about 5 pounds and up they will do one for free but am unsure of that weight. You can ask they reduce it to about 3.0 - 3.5 pounds but there is a lower level limit that they will not go below on trigger weight for liability reasons. If it not high or extremely rough and you want to pay them they will do a trigger job while it is there for you also to reduce the weight or smooth it up. I suggest you be polite but specific in your request. I have had them do a "trigger job" on a receiver for me which had a heavy trigger and was there for a barrel, the trigger job was free as I politely requested and the trigger was much better when I got it back....<><....  :)

I got a new barrel back last week and they did a free trigger job. I ask them to check it. It's a lot better now.
