Sears Model 100 30-30

A friend of mine gave me a Sears 30-30 he bought used back in the 1990's. He doesn't have any info on it. It is in ok condition but has some light pitting in the receiver. Rifling is sharp and crown is in good shape. Shoots fine and is accurate with the Core-Lokt 150 grain ammo.

My question is how do I determine it's age. The only number I could find on the receiver is V1541xx. It is a top eject model, I believe post-64. The barrel has Ted Williams Model 100 on it. I looked all over the Internet and could not find out any way to find out how old it is. Any ideas?

 I have never found a good source for house brand serial numbers but I would venture a guess that the Ted Williams product at sears was mid to late 60's,early 70's.

Found this at the Blue Book of Publications website. So I at least know that it was made between 64 and 78. 

Does the Blue Book of Gun Values have any sort of info in it that tells date of manufacture by serial numbers? I don't own on but would consider it if I could get the data, maybe an older one on eBay.

Are we talking about a winchester model 94 made for sears? Didn't winchester make all the ted williams guins.

Sorry i didn't see he stated model 100  so i guess this is the winchester 100 semi-auto

I found a picture of the rifle and it looks like a Winchester Model 94 Ranger.  I would say that this gun is a good user gun.  If you are looking for a collector value, I think you will be disappointed.  If you are looking for a good companion in the woods, brother, you are in high cotton.
