I have two 20 count boxes of 30 CAL. U.S. Army Ball Cartridges. They are packed in standard 20 count brown cardboard mil std boxes with the label stating "For U.S. Rifle Model 1898. 220 Gr. Bullet, Non Corrosive Priming, Manufactured by Western Cartridge Company, East Alton, Illinois, U.S.A.
I recognize these as standard military issue 220 grain FMJ rounds. The headstamp says "Western 29". My basic question is simply are these of any value to collectors? Both boxes are opened but in very good condition. It would be better for me to offer them to forum members than shoot them in my Krag or sell them for general use. I don't want to waste them if they are of interest to anyone. Let me know if these have a value.
