Well, after a trip back to CVA for a much needed trigger job and replacing the muzzleloader forend with a centerfire forend, the OE is shooting very well indeed!! I'm not sure the 160gr Accubond is the best bullet for this barrel, I thought the 1:9" twist would shoot the heaveir bullets well, but the best load was a start load using RL19, maybe it's just the powder, but velocity was just 2373fps compared to Nosler's data for the 160gr bullets which should be in the 2500+fps range but with a shorter COL, but accuracy would be hard to beat I think, although I got a bit of vertical stringing, it could just be the load, I had several 1" clover leafs, but the tightest group was the start load. Since I'm loading close to the lands at a COL of .090" longer than SAAMI spec, I may need to just load a little more powder to get the same velocity, or load shorter, one or the other!!
