CITY BEAVERS

I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area Euless to be exact.
their seems to be a problem of a sort with beavers in the area, when i first started hearing reports i thought it was probably nutria eating the trees, but people have live traped several beavers
in the area. these beavers they have traped are big as a dog, i mean a large dog they have weighed some of them, 50-60 lbs. is because of city life or normal. i was born and raised in south west Oklahoma, we didn't have any beaver there then but am told their are some there now.

 A 50 to 60 pound beaver,is a good sized adult, but nothing specail.I have taken well over 100 that weighed more than 70 pounds,with the largest being---87 pounds.

 I should have added on the prior post,beaver will continue to grow their entire life.A good food supply and little trapping pressure, can result in some real big beaver.
