Weaver # 46 base ?
« on: June 07, 2007, 02:59:14 PM »
I've tried looking in the books to see what rifle it fits. But, my old eyes can't see the fine print. I found them in my odds and ends box and don't have a clue as to what rifle they fit on. Help appreciated.

The Weaver Mount Guide lists the #46 base as the front and rear base for the Stevens 200, as well as for the Savage 10, 12, 110, etc. and some other Savage models, but not all.   :)

Fits a small ring Mauser, 93, 94, 95 and 96.  I think it is the front base for that application and a #55 is used as the rear base.  Hope this helps.

I use a 46 for the front base on small or larger ring Mauser's and a 45 rear for large rings and a 55 for small rings. And yes it will fit a lot of other rifles tthat have round front receiver rings.

Thanks for helping an old man out. I had two stevens 200 for a while and tossed them.
