New Steel Carriages For Old Barrels

I've been building several metal carriages for original and reproduction  barrels.  Here are a few more pictures of two of them.  The large one is a 40" diameter wheel carriage,  and the small one is a 25" carriage.  The large barrel is a bronze revolution war era reproduction on a stock trail carriage.    The small barrel is a 2" bore British design from Nepal.  Also available are twin trail carriages for these type barrels.  The 40" carriage sells for 1200 dollars and the 25" for 650 dollars.  This includes a safety rammer, worm and swab for your barrel.  I can be reached at dwc414@hotmail.com   Thanks, Dom

For the quality your prices are not bad at all.  How much are you making on these, $0.39 an hour?  :D

How heavy are the steel carriages compared to wood?  Also are the carriages powder coated or paint?

Thanks, CU_Cannon,   I haven't weighed any of the carriages yet but they are fairly heavy.  I think they are comparable to the wooden carriages in weight.  I'm trying to keep the prices low so that they're an inexpensive alternative to a reproduction wooden carriage.  I'm also working towards make them more closely resemble the original carriages [especially in the wheel department, 14 spoke instead of 12, larger hubs, thicker  fellows.]  These things may cause the price to increase some.  They are primed and painted in flat black enamel.    Dom
