Anyone use these reels? What kind of performance do you get from them?

From a reel repair guy, me, don't do it, its a trick.

I like ABU products.  The bulletproof ones like the 5500's and even the T 3600s and others.  When ABU gets to adding on bells and whistles, look out.  That EON has way too many springs and levers on it to be reliable.  If you want a free running reel, that's built to last, eek out the other 80 bucks it costs to get a Shimano Chronarch.  They really are that much better.

Actually the Eon has only a centirfical cast control and a spool friction adjustment in addition to the drag control. Seems pretty basic to me.
Works well enough for what I paid for it I guess. How does the Cuado compare to the Chronarch? I have no experience with the Chronarch.
