If one knew the efforts and labor used to make a good SxS double rifle, it is no wonder that they cost substantially more than bolt rifles. It is not enough just to make good thin barrels to keep the weight down, it is the regulation for point of impact. These firearms are finely tuned works of art to have bullets hitting the mark with both barrels not on the same plane. That isn't done with machined parts just assembled. It takes a master craftsman and fine gunsmith to individually tune each firearm to regulate bullet placement. That is why the high cost. Searcy also makes fine doubles, however the cost is in the tens of thousands of dollars. A 9.3x62 in a CZ is a most applicable weapon for African Hunting for plains game and even some DG, legal in some areas. Why not buy a CZ in .416 Rigby for the big rifle for African DG. Same approximate weight, same balance, same action, same stocking and very reliable on DG.
