This is what Ijust  received from Nosler.

POP:  To answer some of the questions, firstly it's not an all copper bullet like some of the competition's lead free bullets so it doesn't share the characteristics, like snapping the petals at a high velocity. That also means it doesn't foul like an all copper bullet, the accuracy is amazing. I saw the results just two days ago, I'll post when I can.

I'm just waiting for a call back on the price so I can give you a ballpark figure.

Very interesting. I wonder how they solved the fouling, accuracy, and pressure problems without using the banded construction of the TSX.  I see this type of bullet as a real advancement for shooters, like me, who want to get the most out of non-magnum cartridges. It's good to see that another major manufacturer is in this game.

I would say they may be a dollar or 2 lower, but not much.$32 a box of 50 gets expensive fast.
 Ya got to love advertising, It's interesting in the pic the contrast darker shaft of the Nosler bullet showing off the mushroom as opposed to the cleaner, separated Barnes shows off the busted pieces
Though the E-Tip logo is pretty cool.
Odd they are only making 1 size and grain

every barnes triple shock i have recovered was in one piece with 99-100% weight retention,these are not a new idea,barnes has been doin it for years and the pics in the add show a triplew shock in pieces,must have been shooting rocks cuz they dont come apart,im a nosler user and fan but that pic is BS.

You are absolutely right. There is enough data from animals taken to prove that the TSX bullets expand reliably, penetrate deeply, and usually stay together. Losing a petal is pretty common, though.

3200 fps is an extremely high velocity for a 180 gr. 30 cal bullet. Only a hand full of factory cartridges can launch a 180 that fast. The add implies 3200 fps is the impact velocity. So impacting at that velocity exccedes the design parameters of 99% of 180 gr 30 cal bullets made. The E-Tip appears to be excellent for 300 wea, RUM, Dakota shooters but I wonder about expansion at 30-06 velocities. The Barnes would appear to be as good or better than the E-tip at standard cartridge velocities unless Nosler demonstates otherwise.

The 3 i have recovered performed just like the pic on thier box,one transverd a Wt deer from front shoulder to hip the other 2 went through both front shoulders of a spike elk and stoped just under the skin on the far side,no missing petals,these were fired at around 3250 fps out of a 7 mag.Im sure the noslers may be every bit as good but the Barnes I have shot performed 100%,the only advantage i could see in the noslers is possibly price,i pay $30 for the barnes in  .284 150 gr,if there isnt a huge price difference i wouldnt even try them,the Barnes are tried and proved.

It would be nice to see what the performance is at an intermediate velocity, 2400-2700ft/sec instead of the extremes.

As for the pressures because of the copper-like shaft, look at the Trophy Bonded's shaft copper-like. At least on the bearing surface so with any luck shouldn't be a problem.

Yes I think Nosler has exaggerated alot on cutting up the competition.

A little more expensive than the Partitions.  Very affordable.

The Nosler bullet uses a gilding metal jacket to prevent copper fouling. It isn't a pure copper bullet. Alloys can be designed to have different characteristics than pure metals. As I recall Nosler has some history with lathe turned bullets in its early days too. They used to turn the jackets on their partition bullets didn't they? They stopped doing that when accuracy suffered and began their current production methods. I wonder if their machinery can compression form the alloy bullets.
I don't suppose they are going to give away any trade secrets.
