45 LC to 454 and or 460 S&W
« on: April 16, 2007, 01:45:33 PM »
I suppose this has been hashed over before but is this a conversion that would work? I wouldn't ream my new BC but maybe another barrel later. I looked at my new 45 LC BC today. I hope to pick it up in a couple days. What a good looking gun they  are.
shot placement is everything.

Casull is doable for sure, but the 460 may be pushing it a bit, I'm thinking about doing the Casull to my 45Colt barrel, I'll let ya know what I decide. Even tho the SAAMI MAP of the 460 is 65kpsi, none of the load data pushes that high with 57kpsi being tops.

That rifle in 460 would be a long range brush gun. Keep us posted.
