Bullet Diameter for 45 LC
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:38:09 PM »
Any loader for the 45 LC have info on what bullet diameter works best in the 45 LC? I remember that some 45 LC's used 454 diameter and the Ruger shot 452 diameter because of the dual cylinder guns. How about cast diameter? Thanks.
shot placement is everything.

The only way to know that for sure is slug your bore, .001"-.002" larger than groove depth is desirable for best accuracy for cast bullets. Use a #8 soft lead egg sinker to slug the .45 bore.
