what are yalls best loads for 50 cal. optimas. something besides powerbelts.still playing with mine in the off time.im trying 250 grn. xtp and 300 grn. xtp. and 250 grn. red hots.all with 110 grn. lose 777. i think im going to drop down to 100 grns. and try that on these bullets.i am going to stick to sabots and no con.thanks for the info yall , this is a great site.

Welcome to the Forums here..
I use 100 grains (2 - 50 grain pellets) behind a 250 grain XTP.
A nice Buck agreed this past season that it is a lethal combination.
In mine, loose 777 opens the group up slightly. Pellets seem more accurate.
But I do not weigh my loose charges, I use a volume measure.
If I weighed the charges it would probably tighten the groups back up.

I been using the xtp as well. Although, I think for a deer hunting load, I will use the 300g over 2 777 pellets. I just ordered some Speer 300g and will try them with the crushed sabot.
