These are a set of grips Hakan made me from the wood I sent him. Yes, they are cocobolo and the question is which 1911 will they end up on? Regards, Richard  ;D

Richard:  those grips could easily wind up on either of my 1911s (lololol)............. They certainly are beautiful looking grips. 

I am in the process of clearing some tree lines in my fields and regularly encounter Hawthorne or English Buckthorn 6-8" in diameter.  I would love to find someone who could make me a nice set of grips for my 1911s but wouldn't know who to ask.  I don't even know if this wood is viable for handgun grips.  Mikey.
