Hornady does not list a powder that slow for the 87 VMax bullet in the 6mm Remington.

Speer #13: 85 SP, 52.0/RL22/CCI 200 for 3285 fps MAX LOAD

Lyman #48: 85 HPBT, 49.4/RL22/RP 9.5  for 3301 fps MAX LOAD

I had an old Rem. 788 in 6mm. I used 40grs of IMR - 4350, with an 87 gr BTHP (Hornady). I could almost use it to set finishing nails with this load ! LOL
Whether the target is paper, a can, or whatever. The objective is the same- Put it where the hairs cross.

Fireball. I strongly suggest you run these loads over a chronograph. Back when WW 785 was available it was shown to produce good velocity in the 6mm . I got several hundred feet per second LESS with that than any other powder.4350 and  4831 being the best overall. I did get spectacular accuracy with top loads of WW785 though. My gun was a 24" barreled H&R Ultra.
