I am reloading a .35 Rem with H380 @ 44gr with 200CCI primers. It is coming within probably .25 inch of the top of the case. Is this getting close to being a compressed load or is it normal? My cases are trimmed to length according to the Lee sizer and the load is taken out of the Lee manual for 180 gr bullets. Min is listed at 39.6gr and max at 44gr. I have been shooting H322 with this barrel and I am trying to make the switch to H380 because my other barrels are using that (and it meters so much better). The loaded cartridge is over the minimum overall length. I almost forgot - Thompson Contender 14" barrel. I did start the load at the minimum and worked up to the 44gr, but before I start popping them off I thought I would ask for advice. Thanks in advance from a new reloader.
