Ammo question
« on: May 19, 2007, 06:44:08 PM »
Hello, Earlier this spring, I caught just the last part of a segment one of the Outdoor Channel shooting shows was running about a new slug load.  Didn't catch the brand, just that it was 20 ga, & they were shooting 4" groups at 200 yds. or something like that.  Not that I ever shoot that far, I'm curious if anyone knows about this new loading; sounded pretty accurate.

Thanks,
Mike

Didn't see the show, but it sounds like it may be that new Hastings slug discussed under this topic:

I think that you may be talking about the new Hornady Load. It is a polymer tipped sabot (basically a 45-50 caliber polymer bullet, depending on gauge), and shoots flat, and accurately. Check them out, if you could use a more range and accuracy. (and who can't?)
