I have been looking at this setup for a couple of years think it could be done on a handi? thinking of a 25-06 barrel to rechamber thanks for any help (have a friend that has one on a rem. man does it smoke!!!!!!!!!)

Nope, for the same reason no magnum cartridges are offered from the factory. Even the 257 Weatherby mag would most likely be too much for the SB2 frame, that possibliity has been pondered and given up on after discussing it with a gunsmith.

I've been there done it with a 300WSM, too much case head thrust, the same would apply to the 7STW.

That sounds like a screamer of a cartridge. I think the best we could do on a handi frame might be a 25 gibbs. I Have a 400 fps handi 243 win with 55 grain ballistic tips.Thanks for that article though I love speed.
