.25 ACP plug conversion

Okay forgive my ignorance here, but since I saw it mentioned in a previous post...
What are the advantages to using a .25 acp conversion plug in a huntsman as opposed to the 209 plug??  Does the .25 acp conversion work better with pellets than the 209 plug or does it like loose powder like the original plug??

I have not used the actual 25 acp conversion, but I have used the variflame primer adapter in my Mossberg 500 ML with great results with both loose and pellets.  The main reason I switched is that I'm left-handed and all the blow back was in my face.  Being able to use smaller primers have all but eliminated the blowback.  The 209's are really powerful.  In fact I shot one load with a Lee R.E.A.L bullet and two 777 pellets that looked more like a tracer round than a muzzle-loader.  The R.E.A.L seats very loose and was probably half way out the barrel before the bottom pellet ignited and launched a partially burning /smoking pellet behind the bullet.  It would have been cool at night.  All loads have improved with the adapter and much cleaner too.  The best info is at http://www.bpbullets.com.

I use the conversion and I really like it. My Huntsman seems to like powder...but I use the pellets in my "speed" loaders.
Biggest advantage to the ACP conversion I found is that it's alot cleaner.
I find the shotgun primers really dirty in those big dorky plastic holders and all that blow-back soot and stuff goes right
back into the receiver.......Norm
