Prarrie dogs
« on: May 03, 2007, 05:35:54 AM »
Has anyone went to west Kansas or Nebraska to shoot pdogs? We are heading out in about 3 weeks, would anyone have any suggestion on where a decent place to go would be. I would be happy with firing a couple hundred shots a day. Thanks for any advice. Ryan

Ive got a buddy that just got from Nebraska. He said there wasnt any little ones out and all there shots were long because nothing but the adults would come up. Ill holler at him and get back with ya. Or you can go up to the link tab on this page. Hes a staff member with me over on Missouri outdoor Experience. Its a website were we use the forum to organize youth events we put on here in Missouri. He goes by the name of "rat" and im sure he would be glad to help.

I've gone to the Cimarron Nat'l Grassland in southwest Kansas the last couple years.  Never shot more than about 120 rounds in a given day (last year I went through 130 rounds in 2 days).  Public land dogs are hunted hard and most will scurry for cover when a truck slows down.  Access is good.  Non-resident license is seventy-some dollars.  I stayed in Elkhart.  Camping is also available on the grassland.
