Difference in Weight?

Does anyone know what the difference is in the weight of a set of synthetic stocks and a wood set?

It's only 4 oz, wood 1lb-9oz, syn 1lb-5oz.

I had one wood stock set that weighed less than the plastic ones.  Guess it just depends on the quality of wood in the scrap pallets they use.  Larry

The weights I posted are for monte carlo stocks and forends, plain pallet wood with recoil pads, not the lam pallets, I don't have a set of them free to weigh without removing it, but I doubt there's much difference. A cinn lam set weighs right at 2lbs. ;)
