Barrel Fitting
« on: May 04, 2007, 05:20:51 PM »
Ok guys, I am so proud of myself! Using the Handi Basics 101 sticky, I was able to fit my first barrel last night. It only took me a couple of tries but it was worth the effort.

That's good to hear. I will be getting a barrel in a few days. Hopefully it will fit, but if not I will be fitting it myself.

Me three. I am kind of in the position if my new 308 barrel bull don't fit to a receiver that I have it may get traded. So look for it. I may want to trade for a 45-70  450  or a 500.   ;D ;D ;D

I have a .357 barrel that fits like Stevie Wonder worked on it. The barrel is in great shape, but wiggles a bit. I will try it on the various frames I have and see if it mates to any of them. Then on to the fitting FAQs.

This one is an ejector, I'm afraid to send it in and get an extractor back. These are near worthless to me as I have little feeling left in my fingertips. Too may years wiping lead with bare fingers as a plumber. Dumb things you do in your youth are like eating a jar of jalapenos, things you do today will burn your butt tomorrow!
