Need good place an tips on posting photos on web

I'm trying to find a good place for uploading and sharing some digital photos for viewing by anyone on the web. Can you give me any tips on where to do this and what resolution works well for simple viewing online?

I use http://www.photobucket.com and there are other places to store your photos. www.flickr.com is one and I think this forum even has a photo storing site. The one I use (photobucket) is free to use and it has all the links that accompanies each of your photos so you can link to them to anywhere 24/7.
