Gas check variation

Is this variation common with Hornady gas checks? I just bought a box for 30 cal. that have a 2 grain variation. There is a noticable difference in thickness and the light ones will not even friction fit enough to stay on for sizing.

I have noticed the same variation in Hornady gas checks but not in the same box. It seems the older gas checks were heavier and there is a larger crimp groove in them. I suggest you email or call Hornady there shouldnt be a variation in the same box.
