BAR .280 jams with remington ammo.
« on: July 13, 2007, 08:11:35 PM »
My BAR .280 jams with remington ammo?  I am using the 150 grain corelokt's.  I love this bullet.  Any ideas on what would cause this?  What happens is it will feed the next round fine but the bolt wont go all the way ahead to close completely and cock the trigger.  I run a bore brush through it and even sent ammo to remington thinking I had a bad box.  It cycles just fine with federal cheapies. But I don't like tracking wounded deer.  The federals shoot terrible groups also.  I am looking at those nickel cased winchester loads any opinions on them?  I know I should buy a box of each and see which is best but what do I do with the bad loads.  One last thing.  I bought 2 clips off ebay and I don't think they are original browning could this make a difference?   Please help me!!!!

Does it jam with your original magazine? When it jams extract the round that it jammed on and see what it looks like it my be shaving the nose because of the corelokt shape. Just a thought.
