I need a new set of rings for my new 7x57 NEF Handi Ultra. Are mediums rings high enough to allow a scope with a 40mm ocular to clear the barrel or will I have to go to high rings? Or is the hammer the deciding factor?

I have had several scopes on and off of my ultra and havnt had one yet that didnt work with millet angle lock medium rings.
