Stoeger SS Coach Gun
« on: May 30, 2007, 10:24:20 AM »
I bought a Ruger Black Hawk in 45 LC the other day. While I was in the shop, I saw a Stoeger SS coach gun. Are these normally acceptable for CAS? I looked at a Uberti and Marlin Lever guns in 45 LC as well. I have the Buffalo Classic in 45 LC already.
shot placement is everything.

Shaner, might depend on where you're from. Down here, the Stoeger coachgun is about equal in representation to the '97 pump. Heck, seems like 80% of the cowpokes start out with the Stoeger. Quite a few stay with the coachgun.

Me, I gotta be different and use a mule-eared SxS... ;D

In our club it is pretty equally split between SXS and 97 pumps. China Camp won EOT a bunch of times with a double.
