Have owned several FA as well as Rugers, and just got a 454 BFR not long ago. Some folks like the rubber grips, but my small hands prefer the FA or Bisley grip. I did shoot Jack Huntington's 500 JRH made by BFR as one of their custom or premium model, and it was tight and shot great! Hard to beat the quality of a FA from inside out, but read an article that John Taffin did on the 475 BFR, and it shot pretty darn good for a gun costing a whole lot less than a FA. The thing I like about the BFR, is that you can load 5 rounds safely in the gun. My BFR is a earlier model, and its at Huntington's to be converted to his 500 JRH. And because its an earlier model, Jack said he can fit the bisley grip for me!!! I think the BFR has improved their guns, and after talking to the owner several times, his company is a small company, so he is always trying to improve his guns. And for the money, and out of the box, the BFR may just be one of the better buys!
