As part of a package deal I find myself in possession of a Beretta BM-59 Kit.
The kit was originally graded at 98% Hand Select but upon closer inspection I would say it is probably 85% to 90%. Dont get me wrong it is in great condition but when I hear 98% I think nearly new and this one was used at least some.
It was made in 1967. Everything is Beretta. The barrel is nearly new and passes the bullet test very well.
The previous owner claims to have some magazines for it but cant find them so I may have to buy some somewhere. The best price I have found so far is 75 each. If anyone knows of a better deal, please let me know.
Ive thought about trying to find an M1 Garand receiver for it but have had a lot of trouble finding someone who knows how to do the necessary modifications to make it work in a BM-59. Most can only tell me that it is a simple thing to do but they cant or wont tell me how to do it.
Should I try to go that route or should I just hold onto it for investment value? Does anybody know how to do the modifications?
