Mine was delivered Wednesday morning but I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet.  My first 41 also.  Had a 44 Hunter but it was stolen last November.  Hope you like it.  GS

There's also a very limited run of SBH Hunter model coming out soon chambered in .45 LC.

I contemplated getting a Hunter in .41 but eventually talked myself out of it.  I've already got a BH in .41 that wears a 2x B&L so that suffices for my needs.  (not big on stainless either).  I wish you luck and enjoyment withyour new aqusition.  Glad to see another .41 shooter is born.

Thanks for the "heads up" about the SBH H in .41RemMag on gunbroker. I went there right after I saw your post yesterday and got one today.  :-D I have been on a local gun shop list for weeks and got tired of waiting.   This will be number 13 in .41 caliber for me. :-)
Love those .41s'

Lloyd,
I dont see why they wouldn't now.  Sort of out of excuses you know.  They had great success with the other two and now, everything is there, cylinder mainly already just a different rollmark.  I'm sure we'll see one soon.  If my 44 hadn't been stolen, I would be ordering a 45 Hunter also just to complete the group but to replace the 44 and a 45 would just be too costly in my opinion just to have them.  I'd rather buy a FA Premier 475 which is my next purchase hopefully next Spring.  Can't wait just spending too much on the house right now.  Sure you all know how that goes.  Take care.  Glenn

Never thought of going that route.  Perhaps I'll look into that.  Not into recoil but of the FAs I've seen the fit/finish seems supurb.  Just have to wait and see.  Of course I do s'pose that the house things should take priority but the wife can do without  garage foranother year. :)

The recoil is not bad in the FA 475 relatively speaking.  My FA 454 recoils much worse in my opinion.  The 475 is more of a "shove and rise" where as the 454 is very "sharp or quick".  MS Hitman has a 475 FA with a 6" barrel that is just in my opinion, the epitome of what a revolver should be.  FA makes just about the finest revolver made and marry that with the 475 Linebaugh cartridge and wow what a gun.  If you do buy a FA, make sure that you add the extra $33 or whatever it is and get the black micarta grips.  They look great and hold up better than the rosewoods.  My cousin had a blast, no pun intended, shooting my 454 today.  He was hitting the gong at 200 meters pretty consistently.  Like you mentioned, fit and finish is top notch and the service of FA, should you ever need it, is second to none.  Good luck with the garage, you better hide the FA or she may chase you with it.   GS

Would you mind if I asked how much you paid for the gun.  I went to Gunbroker and cannot seem to find it.  Been thinking about one of those myself.

Bullseye,
On the day that I purchased my .41Hunter there were two. I got mine for $525+$25 shipping that was Saturday. On Sunday there were four with one in NC listed at $435.0 to buy I seem to recall.

Here is one on auctionarms.com

http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?ItemNum=4286023

It's $489 + like $17 for shipping.  Email them and get their phone number, call and see if they have any for sale that way you don't have to wait for the auction to end.  Just an idea.  Later.  GS

Had fun at the range.  My buddy also bought one, his has a 2x leupold and mine has the open sights.  We had 1/2 dozen different handloads to try.

Best load of the day was 18.2g H110 w/ 270grain Leadheads WFN.   Put 12 rounds into <2" at 25 yards with open sights.   Resting my arms (not the gun) on sandbags.

I like it!
