??? Model 34 Remington 22 rimfire
« on: April 30, 2007, 01:04:48 AM »
I bought a fair example of one of these Depression era remington 22 rimfire rifles..Decent trigger & bore but the stock & butt plate will need some TLC..it shoots..all works pretty well including the Lyman receiver sight..Any Idea on what it could be worth ??? I'm not certain which model it is The A or the P model .It is at the gunsmiths being checked out right now..remington says only 163,000 were made...mike in ct

It's hard without pics, but in the range of 100 - 200.  Super clean ones can get to 300, but that's pretty rare.

Here's a link to mine that I got a year or two ago for my daughter for $85 out the door with a used soft case.  We refinished the stock and had it reblued, but the stock and metal were very straight, not scratched or beaten up.  I doubt I could get over $200 for it, if that.   Great rifle though!

Just shoot it and enjoy it, it'll never be a really valuable gun IMO.

TY for thr reply...I think it looks more like the CZ rimfire everytime I look at it.....goofy backward safety & all...This one is drilled & tapped...I'm thinking it needs some rangetime..I like the trigger....mike in ct

A retired LE/gunsmith first told me about them.  I was looking for a 512 and he showed me his scoped 34 that he uses for sage rats.   I happened to find this one a few weeks later in a pawn shop.  Only thing about it is that it's in such good shape now we hate to take it out.
