That's very thoughtful gift.  I've admired Henry's for severasl years; their fairly new 30-30 has great appeal to me.

This is my Ruger 96 44 MAG.  Yes, the stock is plain as a Monday morning and the plastic buttplate seems cheap.  But accuracy is so much better than my previous Marlin 1894 that I can overlook these less-than-ideal details.
