The Loading Gate on The FA model 83

:D The gate is suposed to open with the hammer in ANY position on the FA mod. 83

The only revolver that won't let you open the loading gate whenever you want to is the New Model Ruger.  All other single actions, starting with the Colt, and all the clones have no mechanical connection to anything else in the loading gate.
