My brother shot a 220 the other day and loved it.
What new rifles are available in 220.
Nothing too expensive though.

Cabela's just recently had a special on the Ruger Target/ Varmint. I can't remember the price but it was very reasonable. Or if he is a savage owner he can rebarrel his with a barrel, stock, and maybe a bolt head and magazine reasonably like I did to get a 220 swift.

Thanks guys looks like maybe what he wants.
I told him that "the only real difference in it and the 22-250 is bragging rights".
"Exactly" he said.

I guess once you talk yourself into a cartridge it's to late.

Partsman,

I had a .223 Ultra redone to .220 Swift, and it shoots better than the .223 did! And it shoot very flat compared to it. My dad's .22-250 almost shoots as flat, but he is only running 3800fps where my loads are running right at 3950 to 4000 fps. Yea bragging rights is nice, but flat shooting is too!
