Maybe you could look up some starting load data for other smaller 7mm cartridges, 7-30 waters, 7mm sti, and lighter 7 mauser loadings.

I think you're asking a bit much of that small cartridge. Loading data is plentiful in several manuals plus the book on TC loads. Most loading manuals have data for it.

freezer that must be a "custom "job. The 7tc/u is marginal for deer at 200 yards .BUT IT WILL DO THE JOB but you have to do your part. 130 to 140 grain bullets probably are your best choices. Any of the loads for 14-15" barrels will work in a longer one. You wont get much over 2100 fps even with a 20" barrel. As bears ,even little ones have teeth& claws, a 154 RN Hornady at around 1800+ fps would be MY choice. ONLY if I didn't have a better gun to use. Powders from H322 , IMR 4895 and WW 748 should get you there.
Under stand me, I HAVE killed deer with a 7tc/u 14" contender using 120 to 140 grain bullets. I did NOT go out LOOKING for deer, but shot them due to crop damage while hunting GROUND hogs !  Please practice hitting 3" targets from field positions and at the LONGEST ranges you think the deer will be. Broadside shots are your best ones due to the limited penetration of these slow bullets.
Many people will think what you plan is a silly stunt. I have seen deer killed with a 6mm tc/u and a 300RemUltra MAG. All were killed! I wish you luck .

Thanks Jhalcott, I'll be shooting 200yrds max.  I have other guns including  a sweet 308 lever and a Contender. I always wanted one custom gun, this ones it!  A friend had it built for fun, I was lucky enough to get for the price of the barrel.  I'm not a fan of recoil after three shoulder surgeries and wanted a gun thats a joy to shoot on the bench and easy to carry.    I've looked at the 160 gr bullets because of their high bullet co effecent.  The bullet drop is what concerns me and impact velosity because I've seen some nice bears in while hunting deer.  The powders in my manual show H335 of the best but a remember reading something about H332 performing better with a  longer barrel (20").

Freezer you refer to your manual.  I would suggest you get more than 1 before you start your foray into building a load.  That being said, ;D I've loaded all the way up to 175gr. slugs in a 14" contender (too much to ask from this little round) and did have some success, although nothing spectactular, with 160s and a reasonable load of BL-C(2).  H335 worked better with lighter slugs.  It is very odd to find a barrel that will handle heavier slugs in this round due to twist requirements as most I've seen are 1-9".  Your's being custom may be different.  My contender prefers 139gr. slugs yet I understand most like a 120, from what I hear.

I've got three standard manuals and a contender manual.  Just hoping to find some loads for the long barrel.  I've got a 2x7 leupold on top of this rifle and when it comes to shot placement I can do my part.

freezer, just how BIG are the black bears in your area? I have seen them take a REAL good hit from a .308 rifle in Maine and run off!
You run out of powder capacity quick in the T/C rounds. A 154 grain is about MAX for velocity/energy/ trajectory with the 7tc/u. IT STILL falls short of the 7-08 or even the 7-30 waters. I think you would have to limit the range on bear to 50 yards or so! Even with a 150 pounder. In either case I wish you luck!

Blacktail deer are rather small 125lb max.  The black bears can get rather large ::)  Last year I had a 400 pounder within 10ft of me and I didn't have a bear tag :'(  I think I'll continue to carry my 44 mag.
