Yep, all year for butt. The only difference we see in Seward, is that some people have noticed some smaller fish coming farther into shore during the winter. Whether that is true or not, I dont know, but it is what they say they have noticed. And yeah, we do get a lot of attention, homer cause of their derby, and seward is just a big old attention monger when it comes to tourism.
Captains should want to get as much business as they can in september, cause that is the end of the tourist season up here, so it is where they will not have too many people. Close to valdez, there isnt much in the way of silver fishing (besides in the ocean its really good) that I know of, but like deltecs was saying up the road off of the highway in places like the copper they are good. I would recommend making silver fishing one day, and then going to valdez for halibut another, unless you want to catch both in the ocean, there are still silvers running in september, then valdez it is.
