I got my RCBS Rockchucker today!
« on: June 07, 2007, 12:12:23 PM »

The box was 35 pounds! I got my stuff from Midsouth because the RCBS bundle was on sale. I didn't bolt it to my bench yet because I need to find some bolts in my garage. The stuff is top quality, it should last many, many years. It seems like everything is simple to work on if say you loose a part if something breaks (highly unlikely the way the press is made).

I'm going to scout out my gun stores for primers and Titegroup powder for my .44 and .357 loads. I'll then place an order for bullets, brass, maybe some other little odds and ends. If anyone has anything to add or suggest, I'm always open.

That package deal is what I started with about 5 years ago. I have never had a problem with any of it. The only problem that I had was all of those "must have" accessories. LOL. My father has is RCBS equipment for going on 40 years and has never had a problem with. For the money I don't think you can buy better stuff.

Good for you NYRM,You will never regret the choice.I bought the Rockchucker press in 81 and it has loaded a few thousand rounds and is still good as new.I don't think one man could ever wear one out and like some have said you will pass it down to next generation.

A few thousands rounds isn't even broken-in yet. ;D

Congrats, NewYorkRifleMan. You will not be disappointed. So far RCBS has gone out of their way to answer my questions, and they sent me two upgrade parts for my kit and a die set, then sent me an invoice with a zero balance and stating it was covered under warranty. What a great company.
