Lure will work very well.On my line,I use lure and bait at some sets, and just lure at others.I always try to mix things up and give the animals a choice.

I know there are a lot more trappers on here that are better than I am. But when I was raccoon trapping I had good luck with a squirt bottle of fish oil and shell fish oil mixed and no bait. After setting the trap I would squirt the fish oil in the dirt hole or around on the bank or roots, the raccoon would hunt around for the fish. Also last year I caught 60 raccoon in my fox and cat traps using just cat and fox lure.

No bait is needed in addition to a good lure. I haven't used anything but lure for any animal for many, many years. Ace
