Number of Turkeys Taken in Ohio Down
« on: June 01, 2003, 04:31:12 AM »
The number of turkeys taken this spring in Ohio is reported to be down by 10 percent.

This was blamed on the wet springs for the last two seasons. Their DNR estimates that there were 16 percent fewer poults born this spring compared to last.

I guess that means a worse fall season also. I'd also be willing to bet that other eastern states are going to see similar reported decreases.
