What a great time!  Many thanks to Dan, Helen, and T.J. for their hospitality.  They all put in a lot of effort to show us all a good time, and fed us to boot!  Man, I can't stop thinking about all those ribs!  Dan shared a little bit of info on his special rub, and I plan to try it out soon.  Thanks to all the guys who sponsored prizes, and all the vendors who contributed.  Hope everyone made it home OK.  Can't wait til next year!

If you guys want to thank the vendors who donated prizes DO IT DIRECTLY not on here. They likely will NEVER see this forum. The reason it was impossible to get most of the folks who donated the first time to do it again last year and this year is that no one or at least not very many contacted them DIRECTLY and thanked them. Fail to do it again this year and next year likely no one will donate prizes.

Hello to everyone,
Got in yesterday afternoon and stuff unloaded into the house.  Would have jumped on here but momma wanted to go out since I had been away for 5 days--I don't know why LOL.

I want to say thank you to Dan, Helen, TJ, and TJ's brother--did not get his name but showed us around Sunday morning and he came by where we were on Sunday evening.  The ribs and company were great!

I really enjoyed getting to talk to everyone from last year and the new guys that came this year.  Let me see, we had guys from Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Oklahoma.  Did I forget any other state?

Whoever said that prairie dogs are dumb could be correct but they were sure conditioned yesterday morning to do the drop and crawl when they heard a shot LOL.

Thanks to all for a great time!

I can't thank Dan, Helen ,and TJ enough for hosting such a wonderful event.  Great people, great hunting, great weather, and great FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! Life  doesn't get any better.  This was my first experience with this group hunt,  and I can honestly say it was all it was advertised to be by those who participated in the past.  It was a real pleasure to meet everyone.  Here is hoping everyone got home without any travel complications.  Peanut and I made it in Monday about 4:30 a.m .   I'm ready to do it again.  What a great time.  Thanks again to one and all.

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Could you please post some pictures for the people who could not make it. Thanks Dale.

Went to work today too, so I will try to figure out how to post the pics tomorrow.  The good thing about teaching is there is a summer break, but the bad thing is that most of use have to work in order to get paid in the summer!

Lik2hunt I got the banner scope in the mail yesterday all good. But I wanted to give you a little more info on the Konus scopes we talked about I have looked at mine more closley and the problem seems to be more in the lens coating than anything else it acts like it has flaked off in some areas this scope is less than 1yr old and I have cleaned it the same as all the other scopes that I have and there is no problem with them I only use a lens brush and lens soft cloth. I believe what I will do is contact Konus and see what they say. Mine is #7255 3-10x44 engraved 30/30 retical Konus Pro I'll let ya know what they say. Kurt

Thanks Kurt, it'll be interesting to see how they handle the problem. It is obviously faulty. I'm about to decide to stick with my old Japanese Tascos as I can't really find a satisfactory substitute scope(s) for less than $200. Maybe the Mueller like Sumoj275 won at the shoot but any others I've considered worthy are pretty expensive. I don't have that much tied up in the Jap Tascos and they're really decent for the money I have invested in them. They all seemed to preform well for me at this year's shoot.......Digger and I probably got over 200 kills each this year. I have one 6-24 that is way clearer than any of the others but I was able to focus all of them in on PD pups at around 350-400 yards. That's about max for my abilities.
