I know Marlin made the 336dl in 30-30 and 32 special. Did they also make it in 35 Remington?

Yes.  Named 336-A.  Early 1950's models are sought after for high comb stock and low luster finish.

After JFK years, Marlin added white line spacers, gold plated trigger, and glossier finish.  The 336-A was made in 30-30 only for last 5 years of production.

It can take YEARS to find a sweet 336-A in 35 Remington by looking at shops.  But Gunbroker.com has a nationwide membership and you can find one a few times a year using this resource.

In a long barrell the 30-30 becomes a different cartridge. I used to own a 94winchester rifle with 26" barrell in 30-30. Best shootin 30-30 I ever owned.

Of course my eyes were still good back then.  :)

I had Marlin put the 24" .30-30 Cowboy barrel on my 336 a while back.  It's heavier of course, but that helps with steadying the rifle.  I have a Williams 5D receiver sight on the back with a Lyman globe front sight and it shoots as well as my (soon to be) 65 year old eyes can see.
