What is the mildest shooting factory load for the 45/70?

The 400/405 grain factory Trapdoor loads are pretty mild in the report and recoil department. Perhaps some Cowboy loads with lighter bullets are even milder.

Of the factory loads I found the Remington 405 gr to be the mildest.
I have never tried any cowboy loads, but comparing their ballistics to the RP should tell the story.

Of those I've personally shot the Black Hills CAS 400 grain lead ammo is the mildest.
