308 MARLIN EXPRESS

 I just saw a new 308 Marlin Express at my local gun shop. It is the Stainless- laminated version. I bought one in the blued version a few weeks ago.I thought I would post this in case anyone was looking for one and couldn't find one.The price tag is $583.00 I can put you in contact if you are interested.Jeff Taylor.

How does the blued .308 shoot?  I like that blue and walnut version better than the lam/SS look.  I wonder what you could get by rebarrelling it and loading it with a 200gr. .35 cal bullet,  probably between a .35 remington and .356 Win.  I doubt it would be worth the cost.  Gives to something to ponder during the off season.

I wish you could set them up the way you wanted.  I really like walnut with stainless, but I know that kind of defeats the purpose.  How does that blued 308 shoot?

 I haven't shot it yet.I'll let you know how it does as soon as I get to the range.I bought 4 boxes of factory loads but hate to shoot them.

Until they let the powder info out on the Leverlution cartridges. It will have the same performance as a .307 There is no way to duplicate the load to get factory results out of that gun. Nothing new just bringing an old dawg back. I love leverguns but this one doesn't do anything for me.

Looks like it shoots pretty well, for any gun but especially a lever gun.
