i carry an american derringer in .45/.410- model 1. stainless steel. don't even know you have it on . some people think they're useless but i sure wouldn't want to get hit with one at close range. i carry mine stuffed with either .410 buckshot(three balls) or .45 loads in public.when i'm canoing or woodswalking, i put in #6 shot for snakes,etc..always wondered why the last 1/2 inch or so of the barrel(3 inch) is rifled. just about every .45 i've shot at 5-10 yards is keyholed on the target. man, that's really got to hurt!!! i just recently got a Keltec PF-9 for better range and capacity, but i'll still carry my derringer occasionally. hope this helps you some.
